Blood Drives at Inland Hospital
You can make a difference, and maybe even save a life, by taking just a little time out of your day to donate blood. In collaboration with the American Red Cross, Inland periodically hosts blood drives for employees, volunteers, and community members to help meet the constant need for blood. Be sure to contact the American Red Cross for a schedule of all dates and locations ~ and donate the gift of life!
Appointments may be made by visiting
American Red Cross
.
Please visit the
American Red Cross
website for information on other local blood drives.
Who can donate?
You
can if you weigh at least 110 pounds, are between the ages of 17 and 76, haven't donated blood in the last 56 days and meet general blood donor eligibility guidelines. Please bring a photo ID to the blood drive.
Who needs blood?
Your co-workers, family members, friends, and neighbors (and maybe even you!).
Why give blood?
Unlike medications, blood cannot be manufactured in a lab. Blood is truly the Gift of Life!
Did you know?
After donating your body goes right back to work; manufacturing more blood cells. Usually the volume of fluid is replaced within 24hours. Red cells are replaced in about six weeks.
Six out of 10 people you know will someday need blood or one of the components of blood.
Your donation can save up to three lives!
The average adult has 10-12 pints of blood in their body. Giving blood requires no more than 1 pint.
Every 17 seconds someone receives a lifesaving blood transfusion.
