For the sixth year in a row, Inland Hospital is being honored for exceeding patient expectations by Avatar International, an industry leader in healthcare quality improvement services. Acknowledging consistently high standards of patient care across multiple services lines, Inland is being awarded three Avatar International awards including:

About the Awards
The Exceeding Patient Expectations award is given to facilities whose overall patient satisfaction score exceeds expectations for whichever patient types were being surveyed.
The Overall Best Performer award is based on the results of the hospital’s 2011 patient surveys. This national award is presented to the top facilities in Avatar’s national database with the highest overall combined score for Inpatient, Outpatient, Emergency Department, and Ambulatory Surgery. The Overall Best Performer Award recognizes high-performing facilities that demonstrate consistency of experiences by patients throughout the organization for care. The award represents the top 5% in Avatar’s national database.
Most Improved award: All hospitals that administered the HCAHPS survey (Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems) for 24 consecutive months from January 2010 – December 2011 were eligible for most improved. The bed size breakouts (Critical Access/Specialty Hospital, Medium Hospital, & Large Hospital) were determined based on statistical analysis of Avatar’s normative data.
