Diabetes Services for our Community

Diabetes and Nutrition Wellness at Inland Hospital is proud to offer our community many diabetes wellness services.

Our office is conveniently located at 180 Kennedy Memorial Drive, Medical Arts Building - Suite 101, Waterville, (207)861-7150.

Services include:
  • Community Diabetes Education Programs - contact us for more information about our Diabetes Educators visiting your organization or workplace to provide education about diabetes.
  • Comprehensive Diabetes Management and Education*
  • Diabetes Self-Management Education Program - a self-management education program that includes time with a nurse and dietitian; and group classes. A physician's referral is required.
  • Gestational Diabetes Education
  • Inpatient Diabetes Management
  • Insulin and Other Medication Management- one-on-one support with a Certified Diabetes Educator
  • Nutrition Wellness Services - Medical Nutrition Therapy
  • Telephonic Diabetes Education and Support Program - Monthly individual education and support offered in the work setting for Maine State Employees, Medical Care Development, and Maine Municipal Health Trust over the course of one year. Initial personal assessment, then monthly contact by phone with an Inland Diabetes Educator
*Our Comprehensive Diabetes Management Program is accredited by the American Association of Diabetes Educators.

Online Screening Tests:
If you have questions or concerns, talk to your primary care provider about diabetes education at Diabetes and Nutrition Wellness at Inland Hospital.
  • Could You Have Prediabetes? Quiz from Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) - An estimated one out of every three U.S. adults has pre-diabetes, yet just 7% of those with pre-diabetes know they have it. Pre-diabetes increases the risk of Type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and stroke. This test will help users learn whether they are at rick for pre-diabetes and Type 2 diabetes. Share iwth others to help them learn their risk, and whether they should follow up with a doctor to take steps to protect their health. Click below to take the quiz.
  • Diabetes Risk Test - The Diabetes Association has developed a Diabetes Risk Test – it’s designed to be a "wake-up call" asking the American public to take the Diabetes Risk Test to find out if they are at risk for developing Type 2 diabetes.
