Inland Hospital's Emergency Department is state-of-the-art and is designed for the patient’s care and comfort. Renovated in 2008, it provides eight private treatment rooms, a trauma room, triage space, registration and waiting areas. The Emergency Department is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. A physician is always on duty in our emergency room, along with specially trained nurses.
When an emergency situation arises due to accidents or severe illness, our skilled professionals and state-of-the-art technology are ready to help.
Inland is proud to support the Maine Quality Forum’s “In a Heartbeat” campaign which seeks to reduce injury and death from heart attack by creating evidence-based/best practice treatment pathways in all Maine communities. Part of the program’s community outreach effort involves educating residents about the signs and symptoms of heart attack, also called acute myocardial infarction or AMI.
