Inland's mission - To care for and serve the people of the community - goes beyond the physical health of that community. Our mission means that we care for the health of the whole person, including the spiritual side.

Inland's chaplain offers to be with a patient, their family and friends, the staff, or volunteers whenever they need spiritual sustenance. Whether a person has particular faith or none at all does not matter. What a hospital chaplain does is listen, comfort, or just be a kind and supportive presence.

The chaplain will pray with anyone who asks, but it is not the role of a hospital chaplain to preach or try to convert.
