  • Five things every first aid kit should have

    1. Antiseptic wash
Apply first to the injury, because minor injuries can become as infectious as your child’s laughter. Follow it up with some antibiotic ointment as a second barrier to infection.
    2. Ibuprofen and Acetaminophen
To fight fever and pain, these should always be nearby.
    3. Bandages of all sizes
Your loved ones are one-of-a-kind, and their cuts and scrapes are no different. Make sure you have a variety of strip, pad, triangular and dot bandages – as well as rolls of gauze – to apply the proper pressure.
    4. Sterile scissors
For cutting bandages (remember what Mom always says – don’t run with them)
    5. Instant cold compress
This will provide immediate comfort to aches and sprains, and let you save those frozen peas for dinner.
