Lakewood is a 105-bed continuing care center that includes three separate units. Alzheimer's/dementia care, long-term care and skilled nursing care, as well as rehabilitation services. Lakewood is a not-for-profit skilled nursing facility that has cared for the residents of Central Maine for more than 20 years. We are fully licensed and certified by the State of Maine Department of Human Services. We accept Medicare, Medicaid, Blue Cross/Blue Shield and most commercial insurance plans.
Our licensed and certified staff provide 24-hour compassionate care in a warm home-like environment. Residents can also enjoy our "pet friendly" environment with on-site beautician, barber shop, and non-denominational chaplaincy services. Lakewood offers diverse daily activities and coordinates many off-site trips for our residents so that they maintain that critical connection to the community ~ all while guaranteeing the safety and dignity of our residents.
