Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine and Family Practice

We are a family practice providing a special focus on Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine, which involves a "whole person" approach to health care, not just treatment of a disease or illness. We offer preventive healthcare, treatment of medical conditions, and osteopathic manipulative treatment among other services.

It is our goal to provide considerate, attentive care for the individual health needs of every patient. We believe in educating our patients with the best information we have, so that they can make the decisions that works best for them and their families.

Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine:
Osteopathy is a system of healthcare established by Dr. Andrew Taylor Still in 1874. Osteopathy is based on the theory that the body is capable of making its own remedies against disease and other toxic conditions when it is in normal structural relationship and has favorable environmental conditions and adequate nutrition.

Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine includes manual treatment methods for musculoskeletal and other conditions. Techniques may resemble other forms of manual treatment, but the objective is to improve the flow of blood, lymph, and cerebrospinal fluid to allow the body to heal itself.

As a member of EMHS, Inland has access to resources and best practices that help us provide the highest quality healthcare. A multitude of specialists are available at both Inland Hospital and Eastern Maine Medical Center, our system's advanced medical care center, and include cardiology, pulmonology, rheumatology, obstetrics, endocrinology, orthopedics, oncology, physiatry and vascular care.

Patients are seen by appointment with flexibility in our schedule to handle urgent medical cases.

• Wart Treatments 

Financial Policies:

• Co-payment is required at the time of service.
• Please notify the office staff at the time you schedule your appointment if your visit is related to a workers' compensation claim, motor vehicle accident, or other third-party claim so that payment arrangements can be made.

Telephone Services:

Our staff handles all incoming phone messages for the healthcare providers. Staff will call you back with their response as soon possible. If you need to speak with a provider after hours, our office will be covered by an on-call physician.

Cancellation Policy:

• 24-hour notice is required for appointment cancellations.
• If you fail to cancel your appointment we will consider this a no-show. We reserve the right to permanently discharge patients from the practice for repeated failure to keep scheduled appointments.

Change in Patient Information:

• Please notify our office of any change of name, address, or telephone number in order to ensure that your medical records are correct. It is also vitally important that we have your current insurance information on file. Please bring your insurance card with you for all appointments.
