World of Women’s Wellness touched 472 lives
 
Inland would like to express its sincere thanks to the hundreds of women who attended the hospital’s 12th annual women’s health fair held at Thomas College on Saturday, April 4.
 
World of Women’s Wellness is the hospital’s major community benefits to the region, offering women free health screenings and wellness information so they can identify health risks and adopt healthier lifestyles.
 
This year, 472 women attended and nearly 1300 health screenings were conducted - a 62% increase over the number of screenings from the event in 2008.
 
Dozens of local organizations and businesses collaborated to offer women of all ages health, mind/body, and financial tips that work! Wellness talks, health screenings, pampering samples, cooking demonstrations, delicious snacks and fun prizes were offered along with educational opportunities to help women learn new ways to improve their health. 

All attendees received a free gift for attending and many prizes were awarded to participants, including a grand prize courtesy of Champions, Kohl's, Totally Chic Salon and Spa, and Inland Hospital.
 
Favorite parts of the event the attendees noted on event evaluations included:  free health screenings and wellness talks, spa room, information provided by various booths, community contacts, seeing old friends, and much more!
 
The attendees expressed their gratitude for the free event with comments such as, “Excellent variety of displays!”, “Friendly atmosphere greatly appreciated!”, “Loved the day!”, and “Great way to spend a ‘girl’s day out’!”
